Summer has arrived and brought with it an inappetence for oily and spicy Sabjis specially at lunch time. To keep appetite intact, including summer-specific Sabjis like- Kadhi, Amari Bhaji, Bohar Bhaji and other items like Dahi Laai Badi, Sukha Dahi Mirch, Baasi etc in our diet play an important role particularly if it is about Chhattisgarh. Bohar Bhaji is a high-priced summer-bhaji only available in March-April. Lets know here how to cook it.
Ingredients Required
For 4 persons
- Bohar Bhaji around 400 grams,
- Cooking oil- 3 table spoon,
- Garlic cloves- 10( around), dry red chilli-3, green chilli-1,
- Chana dal- 1 small bowl(around 50 grams),
- Onion- 3 medium size,
- Curd- 4 table spoon( if moderate flavour), 2 table spoon( if strong flavour),
- Termeric powder,
- Salt to taste.
Preparation Before Gas Stove Is Turned On
- Cut out hard stem-part of the Bhaji.

- Chop onions lengthwise.

- Soak the Chana dal in hot water for 15-20 minutes.

Instructions
1- Add chopped onions to 2 cup of water and heat till it gets soft.


2) Add well- washed Bohar Bhaji and soaked Chana dal in it one by one. Cook it till green vegies turn into pale-yellowish.



3) Add curd, turmeric powder and salte to taste to it and cook it till mixture gets dry. Seperate out this in a plate.





4) Now add garlic cloves, dry red chilli and green chilli to heated oil.

5) After 2-3 minutes, add prepared bhaji-mixture in it and cook for few minutes. Now Bohar Bhaji is ready to be served.
